Flower: a picoCAD Jam 6 submission
A downloadable 3d model
A low-poly flower made for picoCAD jam #6 with the theme: Nature. Modeled using picoCAD. Textures made with Aseprite.
16 triangles, 20 vertices, 32x16pixels used of the texture sheet. Three vertices at the base could be merged into one, but picoCAD doesn't support merging vertices. Now that I think of it, I could had removed 6 more triangles and 3 vertices from the leaves without losing that much of the detail. The flower could probably also be made from 3 triangles if picoCAD had a tetrahedron primitive, so I could had gotten the model down to 9 triangles and 14 vertices, if I'd tried harder, at least on some other modeling software (as it'd be 17 vertices in picoCAD).
The model only uses pyramid primitives, although with some faces removed, so it should fulfill the optional limitation of the jam of only using one shape type and not using extrude.
Somewhere between an hour and three hours were spent making the model and another few hours were spent making this page and wondering whether I should publish this or not, the other models already submitted are a lot more complex and polished, I just stumbled upon the jam and figured I could try to make something in a few hours.
An obj file for the model is included in the zip.
